Bordered to the north and west by the Great Blight, to the east by Tarwin�s Gap and the Spine of the World, and to the south by Shienar and Arafel. Maredo : A nation on the Sea of Storms. Bordered on the north by Kintara, on the east by Tear and Mar Haddon, and to the west by Murandy and Illian. Capital: Far Madding. Mar Haddon : An inland nation. Bordered to the north by Cairhien, to the east by the Spine of the World, to the south by Tear, and to the west by Maredo and Kintara. Master of the Lances : See Lance-Captain. Master of Horse : See Lance-Captain. Mayene : A small city-state located across a small inlet from the city of Godan in Tear. Though an independent nation, Mayene is treated by Tear as a subject territory. Mosara : An inland nation. Physically, they are like men except that they have no eyes, but can see like eagle in light or dark. They have certain powers stemming from the Dark One, including the ability to cause paralyzing fear with a look and the ability to vanish wherever there are shadows. One of their few known weaknesses is that they are reluctant to cross running water. In different lands, they are known by many names, among them Halfman, the Eyeless, Shadowmen, Lurk, and Fade.
